Rain forces rescheduling of Cradley Heath care home fete

THE threat of more rain forced a Cradley Heath care home to postpone its annual fete in the hope of better weather next month.

The event at Roxburgh House had been been planned for Saturday July 14, but the forecast of continued downpours led to it being rescheduled for Saturday August 18.

Residents launched their own cottage industry to make craft gifts to sell at the fete at the home in Reddal Hill Road, from 2pm until 5pm.

It will feature stalls and side shows, children’s games and a bouncy castle. Proceeds will fund outings for residents.
