Youngsters stage Olympic show at Halesowen College

SCHOOLCHILDREN worked with Halesowen College  to put on an Olympic-themed theatre show.

The pupils from Brier, Westminster, Pens Meadow and St Michael’s schools put together their own scenes which included the official opening ceremony, swimming, boating, boxing and the awards ceremony.

The group also sang the well-known Proclaimers song 500 miles and received medals, before tucking into cakes and biscuits made by the catering students.

Drama lecturer Natalie Edawrds said: “They all worked very hard to devise, rehearse and perform their own original piece of theatre. It has been a brilliant opportunity for them to show off their wonderful performance skills and I am very proud of them all.”
