FAMILIES can visit the Black Country Living Museum after hours later this month – for half the price of normal entry.

The Tipton Road museum will be illuminated by gas and candlelight on Saturday August 18 and costumed characters will be greeting visitors around the site during the special evening.

The family-friendly event will also include musical entertainment, Punch and Judy, street entertainment and circus skills, as well as face painting and balloon modelling.

Jane Allcock, Events Co-ordinator of the Black Country Living Museum, said: “A special half price admission was something we wanted to offer this summer with lots of fun evening entertainment for all the family.

"We hope the late night opening may tempt people who haven’t previously visited the Museum before.

"It's important we encourage people into museums so they can discover just how much we have to offer. ”

Tickets are pre-book only and are priced £7.50 for adults, £4 child and £6 seniors and are available online at bclm.com or by calling the booking office at 0121 520 8054.
