Reward offered after bike thefts
11:08am Wednesday 15th August 2012 in News
A REWARD is being offered for information leading to the arrest of thieves who stole two BMX bikes from outside Halesowen ’s Asda store on Saturday. (August 11).
The customised £250 bikes were the pride and joy of 16-year-old friends Louis Jasper and Trevor Wassell who spent all their spare time riding them.
Unfortunately, they left them unchained outside the supermarket for a few minutes at 7.50pm and although the area is covered by CCTV, Louis’s mum, Frances Kettle, said police had yet to view it.
A £25 reward is being offered for information after the boys, both of St Kenelm’s Avenue, Hayley Green , searched in vain in case the bikes were dumped.
Louis’s bike is a Mongoose brand, bright blue with a white pattern and Trevor’s is black. Anyone with information should contact Halesowen police on 101.
