A-level results: Halesowen College announce record results

Halesowen College students have had another record year for A level and vocational results – with 98.6 per cent achieving a pass.

Twenty seven A level subjects achieved a 100 per cent pass rate including Archaeology, Economics, Law, Media, Film Studies and Environmental Studies.

And already record numbers of advanced vocational students have attained triple distinction stars grades in their Extended Diplomas (equivalent to three A levels).

Principal Keith Bate said: “All our students have worked extremely hard and this has paid off leading to their choice of options for the future. I would like also to praise Elaine Cammies, faculty director, and the highly committed and professional staff who delivered support for students in achieving their potential.”

And so far over 1,000 students have applied for higher education in 2012/13 – another record for the College.

Over 600 A level students joined the new A Level Faculty last September.

The College’s reputation for being the most popular choice is reaching even higher levels with fantastic student success rates this Summer.
