Road closure for Olympic hero Thomas' homecoming

ROADS will be closed as Halesowen welcomes home its Olympic hero Kristian Thomas tomorrow (Tuesday).

A civic reception for the 23-year-old bronze medallist is being held at Earls High School and will be attended by the Mayor of Dudley, councillor Melvyn Mottram.

Furnace Lane will be closed from the junction with Whittingham Road to the Earls roundabout from around 5.30pm onwards, with a sizeable crowd expected to cheer the returning Earls Gymnastics club star.

Thomas is due to arrive at the school at around 6.15pm.
