Kittens find loving homes thanks to appeal

TEN lucky moggies have found new homes after an appeal by Halesowen Cats protection.

The hard-working branch called for people to come forward to help re-home a recent influx of kittens which meant it was having to refuse requests to take in new cats.

It was also desprately appealing for donations of clothing and scrap metal to help meet the costs of food, litter and vets bills which had risen to £2k.

Group spokeswoman Pam Piercy said: “We have had a wonderful response.

“We have rehomed ten cats and kittens and also received donations of food, scrap metal and a sideboard.

“It has been brilliant.”

The group still needs new owners to come forward to take some of its remaining 55 cats and kittens.

Anyone who wants to home a cat or donate items can call Joy Tomkins on 01384 859501 or 0750 5072980.
