DUDLEY Little Theatre is gearing up for its new season which will kick off with eerie thriller Hound of the Baskervilles.

The company will be staging a diverse mix of theatre at Netherton Arts Centre over the next 12 months - starting with the stage adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic mystery, which sees super sleuths Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson on the trail of a mythical hound which is believed to be fulfilling an ancient family curse.

The play - by Tim Kelly - will run for three nights at the theatre in Northfield Road from Wednesday September 5.

A magical pre-Christmas treat follows in December with the staging of CS Lewis's much-loved tale The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - which will run from December 5 to 8.

The fantasy tale about four children who stumble upon the strange land of Narnia through a wardrobe promises to delight theatregoers of all ages.

Passionate drama in the form of Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre follows in March 2013.

The company will be bringing the iconic tale of love to the stage from March 6 to 9.

Finally, the season will close with a production of hit TV comedy The Office.

Fans of the popular series by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Marchant will be able to meet up again with pompous, petty but hilarious Slough regional boss David Brent and his colleagues including Gareth, Tim and receptionist Dawn in the show which will run from May 8 to 11 2013.

DLT publicity officer Chris Ridgeway said: "The company is delighted to be given production rights for such a recent TV comedy."

All shows throughout the year start at 7.30pm. The festive outing will also boast an additional 2.30pm matinee performance on Saturday December 8.

Tickets cost £7 (£6 concessions) and there's a ten per cent discount on large group bookings.

They are available online from dudleylittletheatre.org, from Dudley Council Plus, during office hours, on 01384 812812 or from Chris Ridgeway on 01384 872583 or 07582 318017.
