BMX star set to appear at Shell Corner cycle shop

A CYCLE shop in Shell Corner has invited one of the world’s best BMX riders to celebrate its first birthday this weekend.

Nik Ford, who is sponsored by Diamond Back BMXs, will be at Sandwell Cycles on Friday to give fellow riders the tips of his trade.

There will also be Rayleigh UK prizes up for grabs as well as music and other entertainment throughout the day.

Sandwell Cycles owner Peter Wilson is looking forward to the big day.

He said: “There is no denying it has been a tough time to set up a bike shop but after a year I am delighted with the support of my partner Karolina to be making a success of Sandwell Cycles.

“We are over the moon that such a top BMX rider and bloke Nik Ford will be coming to the shop to celebrate our birthday.”

He added: “He is a top Diamondback rider and I know will be very happy to chat to anyone and sign plenty of autographs.

“And we’d like to thank all our customers who have been a wonderful support during the year.”
