Go behind the scenes at the museum in Cradley Heath

VISITORS can glimpse behind the scenes at a Cradley Heath museum later this week.

There will be a series of ‘Whats up there?’ tours at Haden Hill House museum where visitors can access areas not usually open to the public such as attics, basements and storage areas.

The free tours, which take place from Thursday September 6 to Sunday September 9 are part of a Sandwell Museums initiatve and are spearheaded by English Heritage.

Sandwell Council ’s cabinet member for leisure services councillor Linda Horton said: "We are often asked by people why we don't open certain rooms or areas of our historic houses.

"Well here is a chance for people to find out what they are missing and what is behind those closed doors marked private."

Booking is essential.
