Halesowen pair charged as part of major burglary ring

TWO Halesowen men are accused of being part of a gang of burglars believed to have carried out 56 break-ins of commercial premises, stealing property worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Companies targeted included golf clubs and garden centres in Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Lancashire and Warwickshire. Six of the businesses were in Wyre Forest and seven in Bromsgrove.

Worrall, of Masons Close, was remanded in custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court on November 26 along with an accomplice from Kidderminster.

Taylor, of Beecher Road, faces an additional charge of stealing cable from Sherborne Homes, Wollescote, Stourbridge, between August 1 and 31. He was remanded in custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court on December 3.

Three other Kidderminster men have also been charged with conspiracy to burgle and police said more arrests are planned.
