Coach driver charged with death by dangerous driving after fatal M5 smash

A COACH driver has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving following a collision on the M5 near Halesowen in March this year.

The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, March 24 when a lorry collided into a single decker bus carrying workers on the southbound carriageway near to junction three.

A 35-year-old coach passenger died at the scene and a 65-year old lorry driver later died in hospital.

The 50-year-old man from the Great Barr area will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 2.
