MORE than 70 tenants and residents from across the Dudley borough had their say about the future of the council's housing service at a one-day conference.
The Take Control and Get Involved event saw dozens of residents giving their views on how they could help to shape the future of the housing service.
They were also asked their views on spending priorities, how the council should allocate its homes and learnt how the government’s forthcoming benefit reforms will affect individuals at the conference st Brierley Hill Civic Centre.
Cabinet member of housing Councillor Khurshid Ahmed said: “We cannot be more committed when we say we want tenants and residents to take control and get involved. This conference has marked the start of giving greater control to tenants in the running and development of the housing service.”
