A TALENTED Halesowen schoolboy proved he has all the right moves by winning a place on a prestigious dance scheme.

William West, who attends Leasowes High and specialises in breakdance and hip hop, has won a spot at the Centre for Advanced Training for South Asian and Contemporary Dance (CAT).

The course is aimed at dancers aged 11 to 16 who have shown exceptional talent.

The 14-year-old, will attend CAT sessions at DanceXchange and The Hippodrome in Birmingham after school and at weekends.

Dance teacher Laura Skidmore said: “Will has only been dancing for three years and a lot of what he does has been self taught.

“He has now been given the opportunity to learn from some of the countries most established contemporary dance artists.

“At Leasowes we are excited to see what the future holds for this young talented dancer.”
