FILM makers from Cradley Heath have won a gold award for a series of short Christmas films for children.

TV comedian Tim Vine presented Relive Resources with the Christian Broadcasting Council award at a ceremony in London.

The star of Not Going Out handed the award for Best DVD Training Resource to James Hamilton and Matt Rogers who made the series on a shoestring budget in their spare time.

Mr Hamilton, who also appears in the Relive Christmas series of six short films, said: “To be mixing with the likes of the BBC, God TV and other large broadcasters was nothing short of a Christmas miracle.”

The founder and creator of Relive described the films as “moving and sometimes hilarious” recounts of the Christmas story through the eyes of the famous nativity characters.

“These unique films, primarily aimed at children in schools and churches, aim to bring the Christmas story to life in a contemporary style, challenging the viewer to discover what Christmas is really all about,” added Mr Hamilton.

The series also has an interactive feature that enables the viewer to ask the characters questions which they answer.

CBC TV and media award judges said: “Relive Christmas is brilliant for schools and churches and highly entertaining.”
