Halesowen dental nurse crowned Miss Dudley India

A DENTAL nurse from Halesowen has lots to smile about after being crowned Miss India Dudley and the chance to win coveted national and worldwide titles.

Sharonnjit Kaur Dulay will compete for the Miss India UK in Oxford next week and if successful will go foward for the worldwide compettion.

“I’ve always really wanted to do something like this and I’ve had lots of support and encouragment from family and friends,” said the 23-year-old who works for a Worcester dental practice.

Miss Dulay, of Lapal Lane South, said she was “very proud” to have the opportunity to represent the borough and is keen to become involved in charity work.

She is already planning to help the Sightsavers charity, fighting blindness in the developing world, and hopes to volunteer for dentistry work in poor areas of India.
