Union members prepare for London TUC march

UNISON members across Halesowen and Sandwell are preparing to go London tomorrow (Saturday) to join the TUC’s Future that Works march.

Nurses, midwives, students, health and social care workers, street cleaners, PCSOs, hospital porters, probation and youth service workers, librarians, community groups and families are taking to London’s streets as part of the march.

Ravi Subramanian, UNISON West Midlands Regional Secretary said: “People in the West Midlands can see that George Osborne’s austerity measures are not working. Cutting taxes for millionaires at the same time as slashing public services is making ordinary people pay the price for this double dip recession caused in Downing Street.”
