Drink-drive suspect in custody after car chase in Holly Hall this morning

A MAN has been arrested after a car chase through Holly Hall which ended when a vehicle collided with a house.

The collision happened in Parkhead Road after a pursuit involving officers from West Midlands Police earlier today (Thursday October 17).

Inspector Sarah Galloway, from Dudley Police, said: "Police attempted to stop a green Ford Focus which had been seen driving erratically in Aston Road just before 10am. The driver refused to pull over and sped off. Officers followed the vehicle and shortly afterwards the driver lost control and collided with a house.

"Nobody was injured in the collision and a 32-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He remains in police custody and will be questioned about what happened this afternoon."
