STOURBRIDGE cyclists can put themselves through their paces and pick up a top prize in the process as part of the Ed Clancy Challenge which is being organised through motor dealership Trust Group UK.

Cyclists are being asked to pedal as fast as they can over a distance of 750 metres on a static Watt bike time trial.

The quickest times recorded will then go onto represent Stourbridge in the final heats which take place in Wolverhampton on Saturday April 26.

Cyclists who record the best two times will win a £3,000 VIP hospitality package to this year's Tour De France plus chance to take on double Olympic champion Ed Clancy in both a time trial and sprint.

The lucky winners will be able to follow the world's greatest cycle race by following one of the stages with a helicopter ride and will also get chance to cycle alongside former top professional road race star Stephen Roche.

Stourbridge cyclists can take up the challenge at Trust Group UK's Skoda dealership in Enville Street, where the event will be running until Friday April 25.

Cycling hopefuls can pop in at any time when the dealership is open and try their luck.

At the same time, they can make a donation to Cancer Research UK which will automatically enter them into a competition to win a Skoda Rapid Spaceback 1.2 SE worth over £16,000 plus Rapha Condor team kit.
