THE following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between October 20 and 24:

Andrew Paul Hodgkiss, aged 28, of Kennedy Crescent, Lower Gornal, was sent to prison for eight weeks for stealing items worth £178, from shops in Gornal between September 27 and October 10, while subject to a suspended sentence.

Liam Robert Powell, aged 27, of Kingsway, Wollaston, was given a three month community order for assaulting a detention officer in Brierley Hill on June 25. He was given a three month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

Anthony Fox, aged 34, of Hermit Street, Upper Gornal, must pay £15.64 compensation for stealing meat from Asda, Brierley Hill, on October 5. He must also pay court costs of £50.

Neil Waldron, aged 46, of Love Lane, Lye, was discharged conditionally for six months for possessing diamorphine in Lye on September 17. He must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Paul Albert Mottram, aged 29, of Rowan Road, Sedgley, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a woman in Coseley, on September 25. He must carry out 100 hours unpaid work, pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

Jordan Andrew Taylor, aged 23, of Hardwick Way, Stourbridge, was sent to prison for 12 weeks for undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of stolen cigarettes and tobacco, worth £5,000, belonging to Tesco Express, Dudley, on July 26.

Sebastian Dec, aged 25, of Madison Avenue, Merry Hill, was fined £200 for taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and driving without a licence or insurance in Brierley Hill on September 27. He was given six penalty points and must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Marc Terence Gallier, aged 50, of Hearne Road, Amblecote, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for failing to provide a sample to ascertain whether he had a class A drug in his system, in Brierley Hill on October 9. He must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Anthony Phillip James Worton, aged 43, of Forest Road, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a woman in Dudley on August 1. He must carry out 60 hours of unpaid work, pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £60 and £300 court costs.

Ryan Matthew Peel, aged 33, of Four Winds Road, Dudley, was given a six month community order for committing fraud by presenting a fraudulent cheque for £969.90 in Sheffield on October 19. He was given an eight week curfew and must pay compensation of £939.53, a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

Michael James Adams, aged 36, of Windsor Crescent, Dudley, was given a two year community order for assaulting a woman in Brierley Hill on August 4. He was also sentenced for harassing a woman in Brierley Hill between July 31 and August 5 and damaging a window and being found in enclosed premises for an unlawful purpose, in Netherton on August 2. He must pay compensation of £250, a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

Andre Simon Cox, aged 37, of Langstone Road, Dudley, was fined £95 for drink driving in Cradley Heath on July 27. When tested he had 52mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £250 court costs.
