LITTLE Mix will bring festive cheer to Merry Hill when they switch on this year's Christmas lights.

The girl band made X Factor history by becoming the first group to win the competition and will be performing hits including Wings and Salute at the shopping centre on Friday November 14.

Britain’s Got Talent favourites Bars & Melody will also entertain crowds at the switch on, hosted by Sam and Mark from Free Radio.

Other performances will come from Lauren Wright, R3action, and the Penguins of Madagascar and the evening will finish with a firework display.

Kelly Reed, senior marketing manager at Merry Hill, said: “We can’t wait to welcome the Little Mix girls to the centre for this year’s big light switch on, which promises to be bigger and better than ever.

"Merry Hill turns 25 this November, so we’re planning on celebrating. We hope lots of our shoppers turn up to take part in the festivities."

Tickets for the event, which will run from 5pm to 7pm, cost £1 from the customer services desk, with all proceeds going to Help Harry Help Others.
