AN Amblecote supermarket has put its Christmas decorations to good use by donating them to local organisations for use next year.
Sainsbury's has provided Old Park School in Thorns Road, Brierley Hill Methodist Church and Age UK Dudley with a selection of colourful decorations, which were hung over the store's shop floor throughout December.
The decorations donated included Christmas trees, gingerbread men, reindeers, stars and turtle doves.
Store manager, Andy Beardsmore said: "We had lots of nice comments about our decorations this year, so I'm really glad that we can give them a new lease of life next year.
"I hope they get as much enjoyment out of them as our customers and colleagues did this year."
Jill Cartwright, headteacher of Old Park School in Thorns Road added: "I'd like to thank the team at Sainsbury's Amblecote for this generous donation. We'll certainly be putting them to good use.
"The decorations will look great in our school."
