RISING radio and TV comic Rob Deering should have his audience howling with laughter when he headlines a night of stand up comedy in Stourbridge on Good Friday.

The guitar wielding gagster, who hosted Channel 5's '99 Things To Do Before You Die', will prove the star turn at a special Fitz of Laughter Comedy Club show being staged at Katie Fitzgerald's in Wollaston on Friday April 3.

Deering has also featured on some of TV's top gameshows including The Weakest Link and Celebrity Mastermind in addition to presenting BBC Radio 2's Out To Lunch.

Already recognised as one of the leading stand up comics of his generation, Deering is already scheduled to feature at The Comedy Store in Manchester and Birmingham's Glee Club ahead of his Good Friday date in Stourbridge.

Canadian comedian Wes Zaharuk and Northern cheeky chappie Chris Washington complete an impressive guest list at Katie Fitzgerald's with the show being hosted by resident compere Wayne Beese who started Fitz of Laughter at the Enville Street pub last September.

He said: "This is the best line-up I've ever put on and one not to be missed. I would urge people to snap up tickets quickly as I expect them to run out.

"We normally run on the first Thursday of every month with the focus on showcasing who I think are some of the best up and coming acts on the circuit.

"It's gone better than I could have imagined as the last three shows have been virtually sold out with standing room only."

Tickets for the Good Friday extravaganza cost £10 in advance or £15 on the door.
