A YOUNG girl has been knocked unconscious after falling from a climbing frame at a pub in Wordsley.
The girl, who is thought to be four, slipped and fell from the climbing frame from about six feet above the ground at the Glassworks Pub, in Camphill, at about 6.15pm yesterday (April 20) evening.
West Midlands Ambulance service dispatched a rapid response vehicle to the scene within eight minutes of the call.
The vehicle was backed up by an ambulance, a paramedic area support officer the MERIT Trauma Doctor on the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “The girl, who is thought to be four, was playing on the climbing frame when she slipped and fell in a very unfortunate accident.
“She was initially unconscious but came round.
“After being assessed by ambulance staff and the doctor, she was taken by land ambulance to Birmingham Children’s Hospital as a precaution where she was due to undergo further tests to be on the safe side.”
