THE motorcyclist who died following a crash in Brierley Hill has been named as Christian Davies.
The 50-year-old, known by his family and friends as Hugh, suffered fatal injuries when his Honda motorbike collided with a white Ford Fiesta van, in Pedmore Road at the Gateway, just before 7pm on Tuesday (June 30).
Mr Davies was on his way to Russells Hall Hospital, where he worked as a charge nurse.
Sergeant Alan Wood, from the force’s collision investigation unit, said: “This is a difficult time for the family, who are being supported by specially trained officers and our thoughts are with them.
“A number of witnesses have come forward and supplied us with information about the collision, however, if there are any other road users who saw what happened, I would encourage them to contact us.”
Anyone with information about the collision, or who saw either vehicle in the moments before, should contact police on 101.
