ACTION Heart helpers have been overwhelmed by the kindness of three caring children who helped raised funds for the Dudley based charity.

The children staged a craft party and sold items they'd made to family and friends. They also held a raffle and sold cakes to make more than £100.

They all made gift boxes and jewellery to sell at the party helped by their gran Ann Stockton, a former school secretary from Coseley.

Afterwards, nine-year-old twins Ella and Harry Woodall, from Coseley, along with their eight-year-old cousin James Beddow, from Wolverhampton, donated all the items that didn't sell to Action Heart's shop in Pensnett.

Some of the items will also be on display at the Action Heart stall in Russells Hall Hospital.

Action Heart fundraising executive Joy Brown said: "It was a wonderful gesture as not many children would think to spend their school holiday doing something like this."

The money will be used within the cardiac rehabilitation service at Russells Hall Hospital, provided by Action Heart in Dudley.
