AFTER losing two family members to cancer this year, a Stourbridge artist is putting his craft to good use in their honour.

Warren McCabe-Smith has created drawings and paintings with moustaches on them to raise money towards Cancer Research UK.

The artwork includes portraits of famous tash wearers Tom Selleck, Burt Reynolds, Ron Burgundy, Salvador Dali, Freddie Mercury, Charlie Chaplin and Poirot, among others.

Warren said: “On September 11 my sister lost her husband to a brain tumour after just one year of being married to him.

“Then on October 16 my mother lost her sister to a brain tumour, so in just over five weeks my family have lost two close loved ones to cancer. As a small family we have found this time very tough.

“After being inspired by Movember, I stated working on the pieces and have been creating them for the last two months.”

These specially created pieces of moustached art will be on display at Scary Canary The Venue, in Stourbridge High Street, on Monday (November 30) between 6.30pm and 11.30pm.

Entry into the Moustaches Art Exhibition costs £2 minimum, with all fees going to Cancer Research UK, as well as the donations from any art sales on the night.
