COPS have been given more time to question two men arrested in connection with a murder in Oldbury.
The men − a 36-year-old from Stourbridge and a 42-year-old from Rowley Regis - were arrested on Monday in connection with the death of Inderjit Singh Dhariwal.
They can now be held until late tomorrow night after Birmingham magistrates granted a warrant for further detention.
Mr Dhariwal was left with serious head injuries after an altercation at Samsons Banqueting Suite in Rood End Road, Oldbury just before 2am on Sunday.
The 49-year-old from the Langley area of Oldbury, had been attending a charity event at the venue. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition and died of his injuries yesterday. Anyone who saw what happened and hasn’t spoken to police should call 101.
Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
