THREE people have been injured after a crash in Dudley.

Two cars were involved in the smash on Wellington Road, which happened at 12.05pm this afternoon (Thursday).

Firefighters removed the roof of one of the vehicles to free two females who were trapped and police assessed the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said two women, one in her 30s and another in her 50s, were treated for neck pain and taken to Russells Hall Hospital for treatment.

A third woman, also in her 30s, was treated for a hand injury at the scene.

The road has now reopened after being closed for more than an hour.
