POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a bus in Stourbridge on Friday. 

The 55-year-old woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with a serious head injury on Friday, May 20 where she remains in a critical condition.

She received roadside treatment from paramedics and air ambulance doctors after being struck by the bus in Church Street at 2.15pm.

PC Chris Ridge, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: "This was a nasty collision that happened at a time of day when other people would have been around.

"We would ask anyone who has not yet spoken to us to get in touch with the investigating officers by calling 101."
