A DUDLEY school will be attempting to turn back the clock next week with a display and lecture to mark 100 years since the Battle of the Somme.
The event, which is free, will take place at Holly Hall Academy in Scotts Green Close on Tuesday (June 28) from 6pm until 8pm.
There will be a collection of World War One memorabilia on display and school principal Rob Hatch will give a lecture on the battle and the effects on its aftermath.
He said: "Whilst Britain was ultimately victorious, there was a huge cost to human life with many families touched by the conflict."
