THE life of a popular Gornal singer will be celebrated at a charity event on Friday.
An auction, tombola and raffle, in aid of Crohn’s and Colitis UK, will take place at the Royal British Legion in Lower Gornal, in memory of Paul Cooper, who died on July 10, aged 45.
There will also be a disco and karaoke to get people in the party mood.
The event, which kicks off at 7pm, has been organised by Sean and Sarah Bradley from Upper Gornal.
Mrs Bradley said: “I urge as many people as possible to come along to the celebration and ensure it is a smash success.
“Paul had been a friend of my husband, Sean, since the age of four and he will be sadly missed.”
Admission costs just £3 on the door and all proceeds raised will go to the charity.
