A DUDLEY opticians is changing its currency this festive season, offering free examinations in return for chocolate donations for Russells Hall Hospital.
The team at Specsavers in Castle Street are asking those who need an eye test to bring in a Christmas selection box, which will then be given to the Dudley hospital to distribute to the children's ward and any other wards in need of some festive cheer.
The appeal has now launched and will run until December 22.
Gurdeep Dosanjh, store director, said: "Christmas is the perfect time of the year to involve the local community and give back to those in need.
"We want to offer some Christmas sparkle and cheer to those who are spending Christmas in hospital, so what better way than with chocolate."
