FIELDINGS Auctioneers in Stourbridge is set to host its 200th auction.

The firm, based on Mill Race Lane, was founded in 2001 by auctioneers Nick Davies and Will Farmer - in small premises in Market Street.

Over 16 years the pair have developed the business into the Black Country’s premier auction house - selling more than 250,000 items worth in excess of £45 million to clients all over the world and putting Stourbridge well and truly on the antique and fine art map.

Fieldings, which held its first auction at Hagley Community Centre, now holds 14 specialist sales a year and employs 20 staff.

Directors Nick and Will have also both become regular TV experts on the BBC’s Flog It! and Antiques Roadshow respectively.

Nick said “We have had great fun and huge local support over the last 199 auctions and are looking forward to the next 200.”

The 200th auction will be held on Saturday March 4.

The Decades of Design sale starts at 10am and items can be viewed from 8am on the day or in advance on Thursday March 2 (10am to 4pm) and Friday March 3

(10am to 8pm).
