ICT systems at two borough libraries are being upgraded to improve facilities for visitors but there will be disruption while work takes place.

Tomorrow (Sunday, February 19), the public access computers, online library catalogues and self-service kiosks will be out of service at Dudley and Stourbridge libraries.

Both libraries will open from 10am to 1.30pm as normal and all other services will be unaffected.

People will still be able to access the libraries online services when logging on from home or other locations.

Councillor Rachel Harris, cabinet member responsible for libraries, said: “To ensure we deliver effective online services, it is essential our networks are maintained and upgraded.

"We’ve chosen to carry out these works on a Sunday, when only two of our libraries are open, in order to reduce the impact on the service and to our visitors. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
