RED Nose Day returns this Friday and to mark the occasion, staff and customers at an Amblecote supermarket have spent the past few weeks fundraising and “making their laugh matter”.

Sainsbury’s Amblecote have already held a number of activities at the store to raise money for the cause, including a staff raffle and a customer flower wrapping service.

A display of potties in the Sandringham Way store is also proving popular with customers who are happy to spend a penny for Red Nose Day and donate their ‘loo-se’ change.

A tombola, staff bake sale, Mother’s Day flower wrapping service, bike ride and a visit from Disney characters are all taking place to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

Kevin Healy, store manager, said: “Our colleagues love getting involved with Red Nose Day fundraising and we’re all really proud to support such a great cause.

“There are some brilliant activities planned this year and we look forward to inviting customers to join in with the fun.”

Customers can now pick up one of the official ten Red Noses, where at least 60p from each £1 goes to make a difference to ordinary people, living incredibly tough lives, in the UK and across Africa.

Other items on sale at the store include wristbands, badges and deeley boppers, alongside brand new items, including a mug and foldaway reusable bag.
