THE following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between April 13 and 19:

Liam Thomas Nance, aged 24, of Stourbridge Road, Dudley, was fined £80 for stealing alcohol, worth £7.99, from Home Bargains, Dudley, on March 29. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Brian Andrew Rock, aged 70, of Portsdown Road, Halesowen, was fined £120 for drink driving in West Bromwich on March 27. When tested, he had 89mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also fined £50 for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on April 11, having been released on bail. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

John Boswell, aged 55, of Dell Road, Brierley Hill, was fined £150 for assaulting a police officer in Pensnett on December 13, 2016. He must pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £30 and £200 court costs.

Dean Michael Avey, aged 38, of Osprey Drive, Dudley, was sent to prison for 12 weeks for stealing six cosmetic sets, worth £24, from One Stop, Wolverhampton, on November 12, 2016, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay compensation of £24 and a victim surcharge of £115.

Gary Griffin, aged 47, of Cole Street, Netherton, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing items, worth £44.84, from Lidl, Rowley Regis, on April 1. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £80 court costs.

Nathan David Wainwright, aged 27, of King Street, Lye, was fined £150 for driving without insurance in Oldbury on September 13, 2016. He was also sentenced for driving without a licence between September 13 and 17, 2016 and dishonestly making off without paying for petrol, worth £55.29, in Dudley and Oldbury on September 13 and 17, 2016. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay compensation of £55.29, a victim surcharge of £30 and £150 court costs.
