A CRADLEY Heath man received a suspended prison sentence for assault and criminal damage.

Joshua Miles Plant, aged 22, of Victoria Road, was sent to prison for eight weeks, suspended for two years, for causing £1,500 worth of damage to a front door, window and mobile phone in Cradley Heath on May 7.

He was also sentenced for assaulting a woman and breaching a restraining order on May 7 and June 10 and causing damage to a make-up box and photo frame and possessing cannabis on June 10.

He must carry out 60 hours unpaid work and pay compensation of £600, a victim surcharge of £115 and £320 court costs.

Jodie Dawn Louise Westwood, aged 34, of Wrens Hill Road, Dudley, was fined £100 for stealing items, worth £17.95, from Aldi, Dudley, on May 25. She must pay a victim surcharge of £30.

Victoria Louise Devey, aged 26, of Meadow Walk, Cradley Heath, was given a six month community order for possessing diamorphine in Dudley on July 17. She must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £185 court costs. Devey was also discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing items, worth £126.29, from stores in Dudley between July 9 and 18. She must pay £126.29 compensation.

Simon Nicholas Lawrence, aged 53, of Highbury Avenue, Rowley Regis, was given a six month community order for stealing items, worth £84.40, from Sainsbury’s, Blackheath, on July 17. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Martine O’Keeffe, aged 57, of Bells Lane, Wordsley, was fined £120 for drink driving in Wordsley on July 17. When tested, she had 59mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Jordan Tinsley, aged 18, of Marriott Road, Netherton, was discharged conditionally for six months for possessing cannabis in Oldbury on April 24. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £185 court costs.

Tracey Simbi, aged 28, of Stourbridge Road, Dudley, was fined £513 for drink driving in Dudley on June 3. When tested, she had 75mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was disqualified from driving for 17 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £51 and £350 court costs.

Jason Alan Kinsey, aged 33, of Himley Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for 22 weeks for assaulting a woman and causing damage to a radiator and door in Wolverhampton on April 30. He was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on August 2, having been released on bail. He must pay £1,000 compensation and a victim surcharge of £115.

Darren John Whitehouse, aged 36, of Cot Lane, Kingswinford, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing four packets of steak, worth £19, from Sainsbury’s, Wordsley, on May 29. He must pay compensation of £15, a victim surcharge of £20 and £65 court costs.

Ashley James Curtis, aged 25, of Chester Rise, Oldbury, was given a three week community order for driving without a licence or insurance and resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty in Oldbury on July 1. He was given a three week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 6am. He was disqualified from driving for two years, fined £475 and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £160 court costs.
