A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident in Lye.
Gheorghe Mihai, aged 37, of Park Street, has been charged with attempted murder and attempted grievous bodily harm following an incident on Monday in which a woman suffered multiple stab wounds.
Emergency services were called to Providence Street just 3pm on Monday August 7 to what’s believed to have been a domestic incident.
A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries and a man, who is believed to have tried to intervene in the drama, also suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
The incident happened just a day after Stourbridge man Ryan Passey, aged 24, was stabbed to death during an incident at Stourbridge nightspot Chicago’s.
Gheorghe Mihai was due to appear before Dudley magistrates today (Wednesday August 9).
