TWO music videos directed by Stourbridge musician and videographer Nick J Townsend have been nominated for an award at this year's Birmingham Film Festival.

Videos for Birmingham artists Harry & The Howlers and Rebecca Downes have both been shortlisted for the best music video award in the festival which runs from Thursday November 23 to Monday November 27.

Weak13 frontman Nick, who has directed more than 30 videos for national and international artists, said: "We're up against some tough competition but I hope we get a win. It's wonderful to have two music videos in the award nominations out of the thousands who entered."

Music fans can check out the video for Wild Wild West by alternative rockers Harry & The Howlers on their YouTube channel or catch the screening as part of the festival from 7.30pm on Thursday November 23 at The Mockingbird Theatre, The Custard Factory, Gibb Street, Birmingham.

The video for Believe by rock and blues artist Rebecca Downes can also be seen on YouTube and will also be screened at the festival - from 8pm on Friday November 24.

Nick, whose first-ever feature film (black and white mockumentary Clingfilm which was shot in Los Angeles) was screened at last year's festival, will find out if his hard work has earned him an award at a ceremony at Hotel Indigo at The Cube, Birmingham, on Saturday November 27.
