THIS weekend, the Black Country Living Museum is offering free entry to National Lottery players, as a thank you for the cash received from The Heritage Lottery Fund towards its ambitious development project.

Money from every National Lottery ticket purchased is awarded to projects like Forging Ahead, which will see the Tipton Road museum expand by a third by 2022, with a new historic development focused on the 1940s-1960s and improved visitor facilities.

To gain free entry on Saturday (November 18), players will need to show their ticket for draws between November 13 and 26, upon arrival.

Andrew Lovett, the museum’s director and chief executive, said: “Without National Lottery Players, projects like ours couldn’t go ahead and so we want to take this opportunity to thank them for making Forging Ahead a reality.

“We’re looking forward to saying hello to lots of visitors on Saturday; some of whom may never have visited the museum before.

“We hope that they enjoy their visit and become as excited to see the development take shape over the next five years as we are.”
