SHOPPERS won’t need to dream of a white Christmas this year as intu Merry Hill has it covered.

Today (Saturday) will see the launch of the centre’s new Wishmas Garden, where ‘snow’ will fall every day throughout December.

Children will also be able to catch a glimpse of a shooting star, write a letter to the North Pole and decorate a festive bauble at the centre’s free Christmas wonderland experience.

Santa will also be making appearances around the centre with his trusty chief elf every weekend and selected weekdays until Christmas.

Rob Pickersgill, marketing manager at intu Merry Hill, said: “One of the most exciting things about Christmas is the build-up and the anticipation ahead of the big day.

“Our mission is to put smiles on the faces of our visitors by creating the perfect festive shopping experience.

“We know that having a white Christmas is at the top of everyone’s wish list at this time of year.

“As we can’t always rely on the great British weather, we’ve enlisted the experts behind the snow effects seen in the Harry Potter and Bond movies to bring a bit of winter magic to intu Merry Hill.”

The Wishmas Garden is located on the lower mall, near H Samuel and will be open until December 28.

Families can visit between 10am and 7pm throughout the week and from 11am to 4pm at weekends.
