MOTORISTS have been warned to be “extra careful” on the roads following a crash in Rowley Regis.
Firefighters from Oldbury attended a smash at the junction of Cakemore Road and Penncricket Lane at around 10.15am this morning (Thursday).
Watch Commander Adam Joyce said the car had skidded into a lamppost, adding: "We were the first in attendance and made an assessment of the passenger - a pensioner - before handing over to the ambulance service and helping them remove the lady from the vehicle.
"We then gritted the road, directed traffic and moved the car to make the scene safe."
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said two patients were assessed by an ambulance and paramedic officer at the scene.
Please be extra careful on the roads today. We've just left an #RTC on Cakemore Rd and it was the 4th RTC of the morning for our Ambulance colleagues! pic.twitter.com/VuG2E36tuC
