A CRADLEY Heath meat thief has received a suspended prison sentence.

Gavin Robert Clarke, age 35, of The Parade, was sent to prison for four weeks suspended for 12 months, for stealing two joints of beef, worth £40, from Aldi, Smethwick, on December 20 and two packs of chicken, worth £20, from Iceland, Rowley Regis, on November 9.

He must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £20 compensation.

The following also appeared before Dudley Magistrates Court between December 19 and 22:

Antony Michael Emanuel Bateman, aged 42, of Nimmings Road, Halesowen, was sent to prison for 26 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for possessing a knife in Oldbury on October 2 and being drunk and disorderly in Halesowen on August 28.  He was also sentenced for failing to attend a follow-up assessment at Atlantic Recovery Centre, Lye, on October 11. He was given a 12 week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £200 court costs.

Jenifer Leanne Bishop, aged 32, of Maltmill Lane, Halesowen, was given a 12 month community order for stealing an Acer Iconia tablet, worth £200, in Halesowen on November 5 and a pink purse containing £40 cash, in Dudley on May 22. She must pay compensation of £340 and a victim surcharge of £85.

Jonathon West, aged 31, of Ashfield Drive, Halesowen, was discharged conditionally for six months for stealing confectionary from Poundland, Halesowen, on November 7. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20.

Aaron Christopher James Dean, aged 27, of Cochrane Road, Holly Hall, was fined £260 for drink driving, without insurance, in Brierley Hill on December 3. When tested, he had 68mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Hayley Anne Smith, aged 32, of Osprey Drive, Russells Hall, was sent to prison for six weeks for stealing clothing, worth £250, from JD Sports, Brierley Hill, on December 18. She must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Wayne Foulkes, aged 51, of Sean Dolan Close, Rowley Regis, was fined £100 for drink driving in Oldbury on December 6. When tested, he had 59mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Deanne Lisa Michelle Walshaw, aged 29, of Buffery Road, Dudley, was fined £120 for resisting a police officer in the execution of her duty, in Dudley, on December 5. She must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £135 court costs.

Nathan Walshaw, aged 24, of Wellington Road, Dudley, was fined £120 for resisting a police officer in the execution of her duty, in Dudley, on December 5. He must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £135 court costs.

Stuart Neil Williams, aged 38, of Heydon Road, Pensnett, was given a seven week community order for assaulting a man and  stealing a pushchair and crib, worth £700, from Mothercare, Brierley Hill, on July 8. He was given a seven week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay £150 compensation, a victim surcharge of £85 and £200 court costs.

Shafiq Mohamed, aged 35, of Himley Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for four weeks for stealing aftershave, worth £69.99, from TK Maxx, Merry Hill, on December 20. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Lee Mills, aged 44, of Gadds Drive, Rowley Regis, was sent to prison for 12 weeks for assaulting a man in Oldbury on July 19 and failing to surrender to custody at Walsall Magistrates Court on October 27, having been released on bail. He was also sentenced for assaulting a woman in Oldbury on October 2. He must compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £150 and £500 court costs.

Aaron Guest, aged 27, of Hazel Road, Kingswinford, was sent to prison for 16 weeks, suspended for 18 months, for assaulting a woman and destroying a plant pot, worth £10, in Lye on October 19. He was also sentenced for driving without a licence and insurance and failing to provide a specimen of blood during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence. He was given a 16 week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. Guest was also disqualified from driving for three years and must pay £100 compensation, a victim surcharge of £115 and £250 court costs.

Ryan Anthony Walshaw, aged 26, of Stourbridge Road, Brierley Hill, was fined £80 for resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty, in Dudley, on December 5. He must pay compensation of £25, a £30 victim surcharge and £135 court costs.

Kristopher James Millward, aged 26, of Alexander Hill, Quarry Bank, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing baby monitors and aftershave sets, worth £246.99, from Boots, Merry Hill, on December 8. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Carl David Anslow, aged 34, of New Birmingham Road, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for six months for placing himself at Oldbury Green Retail Park on December 3 to beg or gather alms and resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £100 court costs.

Jermaine Junior Brooks, aged 33, of Stuart Crescent, Kates Hill, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a woman in Dudley on October 9. He must carry out 80 hours unpaid work and pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £85 and £400 court costs.
