NSPCC has launched a mobile phone game to teach children how to stay safe from sexual abuse.

The Playtime with Pantosaurus app features four fun mini-games where players test their skills against the friendly dinosaur and his friends while learning to keep themselves safe using the PANTS rule.

The principles of PANTS – which stands for: Privates are private, Always remember your body belongs to you, No means no, Talk about secrets that upset you and Speak up, someone can help – are introduced in between fun diving and basketball games.

Liz Brash, NSPCC Midlands trustee, said: “Most parents recognise that they need to speak to their young children about the dangers they may face from sexual abuse, both in the online and real world, as they grow up.

“Parents can use the PANTS rule to talk to their children using child-friendly-language about this sensitive topic and can find out more on the NSPCC’s website.”
