A MAN and a teenager have appeared in court charged with the murder of Jaskaran Kang.

Mr Kang, aged 24, from Handsworth, was found fatally stabbed at a flat in Stourbridge Road, Dudley, on January 6.

Reggie Salmon, aged 20, of Stourbridge Road, and a 17-year-old boy from Newcastle-under-Lyme, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court today (Monday, January 15).

They were both remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court on Wednesday (January 17).

A tribute released by Mr Kang's family said: “He was a lovely and caring, hard-working father, son and brother who has been taken too soon.

"Everyone loved him and the family and community are in shock and we just want justice.”

Investigating officers continue to appeal for information about the incident and have urged people to come forward by calling 101, quoting log number 243 of 6 January.
