FOLLOWING a sell-out run at the National Theatre, Hedda Gabler is coming to the Black Country.

This modern version of Henrik Ibsen’s masterpiece is intense, gripping and at times chillingly funny, taking the audience on a journey from laughter to the edge of their seat.

The play follows the story of Hedda, whose relationship with husband Tesman is already in trouble, despite the fact they have just returned from their honeymoon.

Trapped but determined, Hedda tries to control and manipulate those around her, only to see her own world unravel.

Lizzy Watts plays the title role of the free-spirited Hedda Gabler, which is one of the greatest dramatic parts in theatre and regarded as the female Hamlet.

Hedda Gabler will starts tonight (Tuesday) at Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre and will run until Saturday (January 27).
