A QUARRY Bank man has been given a 12 month community order for drink driving.

When Matthew Phillip Greenwood, aged 27, of Thorns Road was caught behind the wheel in Brierley Hill on April 1, he had 115mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was disqualified from driving for two years and must carry out 60 hours unpaid work.

Greenwood must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Julie Marie Smith, aged 55, of Richmond Road, Sedgley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing items, worth £299.09 from shops in Brierley Hill on November 28, 2017. She must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £100 court costs.

Luke John Henry Williams, aged 33, of Upton Street, Netherton, was sent to prison for 22 weeks for stealing items, worth £411.92 from shops in Sandwell between March 23 and April 11, while subject to a suspended sentence.

Daniel Richard Underhill, aged 32, of Trinity Road, Stourbridge, was given a two year community order for assaulting a woman in Stourbridge on January 28 and causing £100 worth of damage to a taxi door. He must carry out 40 hours unpaid work, pay £100 compensation, a victim surcharge of £85 and £300 court costs.

Ryan Henry, aged 34, of Lavender Road, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing alcohol, worth £47, from Himley Service Station on February 12. He must pay compensation of £47, a victim surcharge of £20 and £135 court costs.

Gurjit Singh Jandu, aged 25, of Greenroyd, Stourbridge, was given a 12 month community order for drink driving, without a licence or insurance, in Oldbury on March 25. When tested, he had 97mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for two years and must carry out 120 hours unpaid work. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Jerrem Karl Corniffe, aged 25, of Graingers Lane, Cradley Heath, was sent to prison for 30 weeks for driving while disqualified in Dudley on April 17, while subject to a suspended sentence. He was also sentenced for driving without due care and attention, without insurance and failing to stop on being required to do so by a constable in uniform. He was disqualified from driving for two years and must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Wayne Mark Williams, aged 38, of High Street, Lye, was sent to prison for 22 weeks for stealing items, worth £315.30, from shops in Lye and Stourbridge between March 4 and April 16, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Mandeep Singh, aged 32, of Salop Road, Oldbury, was given a nine month community order for stealing whisky, worth £64, from Tesco, West Bromwich, on April 17. He was also sentenced for not being at his place of abode and having an article for use in the course of, or in connection with, theft, namely foil, on April 18. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Louise Smith, aged 38, of Elizabeth Mews, Oldbury, was fined £120 for driving without due care and attention or insurance in Dudley on October 23, 2017. She was given six penalty points and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £400 court costs.

Jodie Dawn Louise Westwood, aged 34, of Wrens Hill Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for 18 weeks for stealing a camera, worth £40, from Rymans Stationary, Dudley, on December 5, 2017, while subject to a suspended sentence. She was also sentenced for stealing clothing, worth £120, from Peacocks, Wolverhampton, on February 28 and eight tins of corned beef, worth £18, from Heron Foods, Dudley, on March 1. She must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Jamie Ford, aged 27, of Wallis Road, Oldbury, was given a two year community order for assaulting a woman in West Bromwich on April 17. He must carry out 40 hours unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

David John Tromans, aged 31, of Dorset Road, Wollaston, was fined £160 for causing £50 worth of damage to a door in Stourbridge on March 27 and failing to comply with a community protection notice in Stourbridge on March 26. Hr must pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £30 and £85 court costs.
