MARY Stevens Hospice is set to host a summer fete with a range of attractions for all the family.
The event, on Saturday July 11 at the Hagley Road hospice, will have a Disney theme featuring attractions in the show arena including performances by Time Step Dance Studio, Step up Puppets, Splitz Dance Studio, Karimah Belly Dancers and Cheerleading For Ever.
The 2009 fete will also feature a dramatic demonstration from Stourbridge Fire Brigade Green Watch who will be cutting an accident victim from a car in a simulated road smash at 2pm.
Other attractions include a barrel organ, alpacas, wood turning demonstration, BBQ and refreshments and over 30 stalls.
There will also be a children’s Fancy Dress competition at 1.20pm with prizes up for grabs for the most original outfit.
DJs from Stourbridge station The Bridge Radio 102.5FM will be broadcasting from the fete which will be raising funds for hospice running costs.
The fete, which runs from 11am to 3.30pm, will also give people the chance to win a weekend’s use of a Jaguar car from dealers Stratstone Jaguar, Lye, by taking part in a prize draw.
Tickets will be available at the fete from the Jaguar stand.
Details about the fete or other hospice fundraising events can be found on the website www.marystevenshospice.co.uk or by calling 01384 377778.
