Halesowen cyclist killed in road crash

POLICE have named the cyclist who died in a road traffic collision in Belbroughton at the weekend as David Coldicott from Halesowen.

The 61-year-old received fatal injuries when the push bike he was riding was in collision with a blue Nissan Micra on Saturday July 4.

The accident happened at around 5.25pm along the A491 in Belbroughton.

Pc Tom Symonds from North Worcestershire’s Road Policing Unit said: “This must be a very difficult time for Mr Coldicott’s family and friends and our thoughts go out to them."

“We have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision and we would urge any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to get in touch with us at the road policing unit as soon as possible.

“Even the smallest detail can make a significant difference to our enquiries, so please call in if you have any information at all relating to this incident.”
